Our Services

hartQS offers a full range of quantity surveying services, encompassing traditional skills as well as latest business practices developed in a progressive and demanding construction industry.

We offer a full range of quantity surveying services including cost estimating, cost management, advice on appropriate procurement routes and measured quantities. We offer various project management services including acting as Employer's Agent or Contract Administrator. We also provide CDM consultancy.

As Chartered Quantity Surveyors we provide building cost advice, working with the design team and client towards the most cost-effective design solution. We also put in practice procedures that control costs throughout the building project process.

We regularly meet and work with architects, structural engineers, M&E consultants, building contractors, public authorities and fellow surveyors both prior to and throughout the construction period in order to ensure the finished project is both cost-effective and built as designed.

We have worked on projects covering all the following areas: private housing, local authority housing, schools, youth centres, community centres, commercial buildings & property and churches. We particularly specialise in architect designed houses and historic church refurbishments.

Our QS consultancy services include:

  • Preparing initial cost estimates;
  • Advising on development of the design to obtain maximum value;
  • Preparing detailed elemental cost plans;
  • Preparing cost studies of alternative design solutions and materials;
  • Advising on tendering procedures and contract arrangements;
